Arthroscopic Surgery, Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery
My approach to treating patients
Welcome to this web site. I hope you will find it useful, especially some of the information on patient education of the shoulder and knee. When I joined the Columbia Orthopaedic Group in 1979, I was involved in a broad spectrum of orthopaedic treatment, although my background at that time was weighted towards arthroscopy, total joint replacement and internal fixation of fractures. As I've progressed through my career, I've become more focused on the knee and shoulder. This is an exciting time in these areas for several reasons. One is the advancement in diagnostic capability, especially with the MRI scanner. Another is advances in techniques and instruments in arthorscopy, especially in shoulder arthroscopy. These allow less invasive treatment of many problems.
I'm particularly proud of my staff who include Jeff Early, a certified Physician Assistant, Teri Adkisson, my secretary, and Anne Lewis my nurse. My staff has always tried to take exceptional care of my patients. We look forward to meeting you.
