Welcome

Meet Dr. Barbour

With more than 14 years of experience in orthopaedics, we care for our patients in a highly personal and cooperative manner.

From top performing athletes to the average person of any and all ages, Dr. Barbour focuses on diagnosis and treatment of sports related injuries. Dr. Barbour also performs arthroscopic hip surgery and biologic joint surgery for the relief of joint pain. Patients from all over, young, young at heart, athletes (professional, amateur, and those just trying) agree that Dr. Barbour treats the whole person not just the injury.

As an avid competitor and former all-American rugby player, Dr. Barbour has a unique understanding with high level athletes. Dr. Barbour cares for several local high schools, and has treated a number of professional, college and amateur athletes.

Dr. Barbour is one of the few physicians in the nation performing arthroscopic hip surgery and biologic joint surgery for the relief of joint pain. He is certified in BHR (Birmingham Hip Resurfacing). In addition, he is one of the instructors for Arthrex.

We believe that patient and physician are a team and that by working together we can get the best results.
