My approach to treating patients

I am fellowship trained in the diagnosis and management of both basic and complex disorders of the shoulder and elbow. This includes shoulder and elbow replacement surgery, rotator cuff disorders, arthroscopy, and fracture care. I also specialize in sports medicine including operative and nonoperative management of the knee, hip, and ankle.

I have unique training in the use of surgeon-performed shoulder ultrasound for the immediate diagnosis of rotator cuff disorders. This interactive tool allows you, the patient, to take an active role in your office visit and to see your shoulder anatomy in real-time with me personally performing the exam and explaining the findings the same day. This efficient method of diagnosis allows us to obtain the information we want now, without the need for multiple appointments.

I am trained in the use of the reverse ball and socket shoulder replacement system. This new surgical technique is for those patients with arthritis of the shoulder associated with large rotator cuff tears, and those with failed previous shoulder replacements.

My goal is to accurately diagnose your condition and provide you with reasonable treatment options. I welcome you to contact my office for an appointment to discuss all of your musculoskeletal issues.
