My approach to treating patients
As a trained specialist of sports medicine and arthroscopy I treat a myriad of shoulder, knee, elbow and ankle injuries. Specific rehabilitation for these injuries and disorders are prescribed and supervised by myself as the treating physician. Treatment algorithms emphasize optimal outcomes and the return to athletic activities. For those necessitating surgery advanced arthroscopic techniques and minimally invasive surgery is utilized to minimize post operative pain and restore early function. As an Associate Master Instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America and frequently published arthroscopist these state of the art techniques maximize optimal surgical outcomes. Alternative medicine treatments may also be employed such as for knee arthritis to alleviate pain in those not wishing to have surgery. All treatment options, surgical and nonsurgical, are discussed with the patient in order for the patient to make an informative individualized decision as to the care most appropriate for themselves.
