My approach to treating patients

I have always tried to get the best result for the patient with the least invasiveness. Growing up with the surname "small" has finally made sense with the advent of the mimimally invasive major joint replacement surgery of the hip. Now everyone it seems wants to have that "Small incision". Seriously though, I really believe that the least invasive techniques which allow the job to be performed safely and quickly will ultimately lead to the best results. I am performing mini-hip and mini-total knee incisions. For average sized patients the hip incisions are about the size of a business card. I use metal on metal large-head hip bearings that should last as long as you need it. The large headed prosthesis has a more normal range of motion and a natural resistance to dislocation. We have developed advanced pain control and surgical techniques for the knee replacement patients who can on walk the SAME day of their knee surgery!

I have been performing these operations in White Plains for over 20 years.

Our office is instructed to treat all folks with the same courtesy as you would a friend. We an electronic medical record system and Digital x-rays which allow computer assistance with evaluation of hip and knee problems. We have computer templating to help with accurate prosthesis sizing and placement. The digital records are securely stored in our on site servers and are remotely backed up daily for maximum security and safety of our records.

We strive to make our office patient friendly.

We are able to offer physical therapy, electrical testing and MRI on site .
