My approach to treating patients
Dr. McMahon provides comprehensive care for shoulder and elbow problems and treatment for basic knee injuries. He founded McMahon Orthopedics & Rehabilitation (MORe) in 2006 after serving 12 years in academic medicine at UPMC and the University of California, Irvine, where he was the Director of Sports Medicine.
The mission at MORe is to provide outstanding care of shoulder, elbow and knee problems with high patient satisfaction. The staff is experienced and courteous. Our efficiency will be obvious; we minimize your time waiting to see the doctor, and make every effort to bill your insurance correctly, diminishing your inconvenience.
Editor of the books, CURRENT DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT IN ORTHOPEDICS and CURRENT DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT IN SPORTS MEDICINE, author of over 100 publications and speaker at numerous international, national and regional meetings, Dr McMahon has cared for many professional, college and high school athletes and for many years was a team physician for the University of Pittsburgh football team. A Castle Connelly Top Doc, US News and World Report Top Doc, Best Doctors in America by Best Doctors Inc and Pittsburgh Magazine Top Doc, he was also awarded membership in Phi Beta Kappa and the prestigious Society of American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr McMahon continues his research improving the diagnosis and treatment of common shoulder and knee problems.
