My Approach to Treating Patients
Our office has always offered comprehensive orthopaedic care to our patients. Please notice that the focus of our practice is not surgery alone. It is on comprehensive musculo - skeletal care, which sometimes includes surgery. We are proud of our reputation of carefully evaluating each patient, obtaining appropriate studies as necessary, and treating with conservative means. If surgery becomes necessary we discuss it with each person and their family if needed and tell them what the options are of treatment. That has always worked well in making the patient feel they are a partner in their care and treatment. Orthopaedic Surgery is the branch of medicine that treats problems of the bones, joints, and their associated structures such as muscles, tendons, and nerves.

My Community Activities
Dr. Haverbush and Mr. J. Patrick Finn, PAC, have a teaching affiliation with the Physician Assistant program at Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant,Michigan. They regularly provide orthopaedic surgery training to students who choose this elective as part of their education. The students are with Dr. Haverbush and Mr. Finn in the office as well as Gratiot Community Hospital. We have felt this was an important part of our work to provide our skills in helping to educate these young men and women.

Dr. Haverbush has been in private practice in Alma, Michigan and a member of Gratiot Health System as an attending orthopaedic surgeon since his arrival in 1974.
