Dr. Oppenheim is the Margaret Holden Jones Kaanar Professor of Cerebral Palsy, Emeritus Chief of Pediatric Orthopedics, Director of the Center for Cerebral Palsy at the Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and Consultant to Shriner's Hospital of Los Angeles. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society. He is a Past President of the American Aceademy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine. He has repeatedly been named as one of America's Best Doctors.

My approach to treating patients

Welcome to our practice. I and my staff strive to treat you the way that we would want our own families treated. We make every effort to provide you the tools necessary to join with us as partners in facilitating your medical care. With both of us on the same side, we can generally get to where we want to go quickly, and that is spending as much time as possible on your clinical issues, and and as little time as possible hassling with the insurance and managed care entities. Your care is always of parmount importance to us, and reflects directly on our reputation for quality work. You will not have any difficulty checking us out, as we have been at UCLA for 31years and are well known in the local community. 95% of our new patients are direct referrals from physicians or patients. It is our privledge to treat patients from all over the western United States, and from many foreign lands as well. Our practice has recently relocated to the new Luskin Children's Center directly across from the Santa Monica Orthopaedic Hospital Campus. Directions are available under the location and hours heading of this webpage. The Clinic is managed by Orthopaedic Hospital, but I remain a full time UCLA Professor. Our staff will help to resolve any insurance difficulties that this may cause with your UCLA contracted medical Group.
