My approach to treating patients
My name is Nicholas Dutcheshen MD (Dr. Dutch), and I am a partner in the Troy Orthopaedic Associates practice in Troy, MI. I am affiliated with William Beaumont Hospital in both Troy and Royal Oak.
I've gained an immeasurable amount of experience in many aspects of general orthopaedics including minimally invasive arthroscopy of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle. My specialty focus/interest is in the area sports medicine.
Following the completion of my residency program at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI, I decided to pursue a post-residency Fellowship in sports medicine at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA.
While at Harvard, I assisted in caring for the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox, and New England Revolution professional sports teams. In addition, I gained experience in both minimally invasive arthroscopic and open surgery.
Your health and quality of orthopaedic care are my top priorities. I strongly believe the most successful patient care results from a two-way treatment process.
From the very first visit, I make a conscious effort to establish a warm, friendly rapport with each of my patients to encourage open and direct communication.
I listen to your needs, include them in my diagnosis and treatment decisions, and welcome your input and feedback each step of the way.
My practice also offers helpful patient education resources in print or on-line formats to help make your decision-making, treatment, and recovery as quick and pain-free as possible.
Please feel free to contact me anytime with any questions, comments or concerns. I would love to hear from you!
