My approach to treating patients
My name is Michael Boyd, D.O., and I am a partner of Tri-State Orthopaedic Surgeons in Evansville, Indiana. I am a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon dedicated to providing exceptional orthopaedic care. I am the only fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon in adult joint reconstruction (total joint replacement) in the tri-state area. I have a special interest in lower extremity arthritis surgery, including primary (initial) and complex revision (redo) total joint replacements, arthroscopy, fresh osteochondral allograft transplantation, and adult limb realignment. In addition, I enjoy fracture care/trauma.
I did my undergraduate work at the University of Michigan, obtained my medical degree from Michigan State University, and completed my internship and orthopaedic surgery residency through Michigan State University's Statewide Campus System (Botsford General and Mt Clemens General Hospitals). During my orthopaedic residency, I trained in Atlanta at Emory University's Crawford Long Hospital (adult joint reconstruction), in Orlando at the Nemours Children Clinic/Arnold Palmer Hospital (pediatric orthopaedics), and in Tampa at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute/Tampa General Hospital (orthopaedic trauma). I then completed a subspecialty fellowship in Adult Joint Reconstruction at the University of California, San Diego.
My outside interests include spending time with my family, participating in sports, and traveling.
