Welcome

My approach to treating patients

We care for families and individuals with musculoskeletal complaints involving the extremities, with a particular interest and expertise in Hand Surgery.

As a Hand Surgeon in Anchorage, I treat common Hand Surgery conditions such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Ganglion, DeQuervain's, Dupuytren's contracture, Fractures, rotator cuff tears, and hand arthritis.

I employ both open and arthroscopy techniques for TFCC tears. I treat less common conditions as well such as Glomus tumors, and microvascular reconstruction.

I always seek to apply non-operative treatment where appropriate and regard non-operative treatment as a specialty technique.

Even though Dr. Jensen is very high tech when it comes to surgery, his office is somewhat "old school" regarding patient care:

You will be seen by the MD, not a PA. Dr. Jensen will not be entering data into a computer during your appointment. The phone will be answered by a real person, not a complicated phone tree. We do not keep your medical records electronically on line. We do not order expensive tests unless the results would change treatment options.

We are serious when we say that surgical treatment is appropriate only when simpler treatments can not or have not succeeded.
