My approach to treating patients
Patients are the most important aspect of my professional life. If their problem is known to me within my field of specialisation (elbow/shoulder/hand), then I aim for the most uncompromisingly best result, both from a subjective and objective perspective These are my goals as an ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON. If the problem is not known to myself/subspecialist collegues/the literature, then I take the problem to the research arena of clinical and laboratory based research; my goals as a PROFESSOR OF BIOENGINEERING. The solution is then brought back into the treatment of the patients, only after peer review. My aim is to constantly improve what is known about my chosen sub-specialites, in order that more patients benefit directly and indirectly from my intervention.
