My approach to treating patients

Orthopedic surgery is the medical and surgical specialty that deals with diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the bones, joints, muscles, and ligaments. Our primary goal in evaluating and treating patients is to promote healing of the injured or diseased areas and to restore as much function as possible to these areas. My approach to these problems involves first making an accurate diagnosis of the problem and then helping my patients understand the problem and methods that will be helpful to allow the body to heal itself. These methods may include exercising, physical therapy, medications, bracing, and at times, surgical intervention. I believe that it is important to make every effort to allow the body to repair itself prior to considering surgical intervention. My office and staff are dedicated to treating all of our patients with respect and dignity and we make every effort to assist our patients with resolution of their problems. My practice is primarily involved with treatment of sports related injuries, work related injuries, treatment of arthritic conditions, joint replacement surgery, ankle and foot surgery and rehabilitation of these injuries.
