My approach to treating patients

My approach to patient care is to be interactive and to find out as much as possible about my patients. I choose to be as expert as possible in my area, and am internationally recognized for innovations and techniques in adult reconstructive surgery. I have a long experience in orthopaedic trauma surgery and continue to treat trauma patients. I treat all general orthopaedic conditions but willingly refer patients to other surgeons who may be better qualified for uncommon or difficult problems that I lack experience. I believe strongly that my patients often need second opinion to strengthen their confidence in care recommended and I try to be as open and candid about potential problems that my patients face from complex reconstructive surgery. Finally, I believe that once I have taken on a problem and have performed surgery, that the patient becomes my responsibility as long as he or she chooses to remain my patient.

Other staff in my practice

My staff are instructed to be as responsive as possible and that no problems or phone calls are too small or unimportant. All phone calls are referred to the doctor and are usually answered the same day. Appointments are made as soon as possible, and special complaints or problems often require schedule interuption. My staff try to be as kind as possible when there is pain or complications, and are expected to manage the administrative details of today's medicine as efficiently.
