My approach to treating patients
My specialty areas are the knee, shoulder, and sports-related problems. I'll help you get well as simply and quickly as possible. Unfortunately, some conditions require surgery. I attend meetings and stay current with our medical journals, but I prefer procedures which have withstood the test of time, leaving experimental approaches with unproven track records to other surgeons and more adventurous patients.
I only schedule procedures that are within my comfort zone. I've performed thousands of arthroscopic knee and shoulder procedures, including meniscus repairs, ligament reconstructions, rotator cuff and labral repairs, and have replaced several hundred arthritic knees. If I think somebody in the area can do a better job with your problem, I won't hesitate to refer you in order for you to get the best care possible.
