My Approach to Treating Patients
I am committed to providing the highest quality musculoskeletal care, in the context of the whole person. It is my sincere desire that each patient feels that his or her experience in our office was worthwhile and meaningful, that his or her concerns were seriously considered in deriving a working diagnosis and treatment plan, and that his or her time was respected.

Other Staff in My Practice
Our team consists of highly educated and motivated professionals. During your visit you may meet many of them as they work to make your visit go smoothly, with minimal stress. In our academic setting, we do not employ Physicians' Assistants like many private, non-academic practices do. Instead, you may see that I am often assisted by other fully-qualified physicians who are participating in their advanced Orthopaedic Surgery training. These resident physicians are an invaluable part of our care team and work tirelessly on your behalf to help ensure that you receive the highest quality of care and the most attentive service available. Each Orthopaedic Surgery resident will spend 3 months with me in an "apprenticeship model."

My Community Activities
20+ years combined (Army/Navy) military service; retired in 2008 from United States Navy Reserve
