My approach to treating patients
I am an orthopaedic surgeon with special training and interest in disorders of the hand and upper extremity. I treat all disorders of the joints, tendons, ligament, bones, nerves and arteries from the shoulder to the fingertips. Where needed I utilize microsurgical techniques for repair of nerves and blood vessels.
I believe that knowledgeable patients make the best decisions about their own treatment. I want my patients to understand their condition: How it developed and how various treatment approaches can improve or repair the problem. I strive to work with my patients to help them understand the nature of their problem and the options for treatment. Working as an educated team, my patients and I can together choose the best means of restoring their function. I will always try to present a realistic outlook on the results we can achieve and any risks that might be involved. If a non-surgical option is available, I'll explain that method.
