Web site Submission in Google
The following directions outline how to submit your personal physician web site to Google.com, the most widely-used Internet search engine.
First, click on the Google registration link: http://www.google.com/addurl.html
Then, scroll down the page until the "URL:" and "Comments:" boxes are visible.
In the "URL:" field, enter your web site's address. Its format will be http://OrthoDoc.aaos.org/xxxxxx where "xxxxxx" is the name you selected for your web site.
You can enter anything you want in the "Comments:" field; it will not affect how your site is indexed. We suggest you simply enter either "AAOS Personal Physician Web Site" or "AAOS Group Practice Web Site," depending on the type of site you have built.
Then click the "Add URL" button. The next time Google updates its indexes (usually once a month), your site should be included.
Note: Google.com does not guarantee that it will index your site. Please read their disclaimer:
We add and update new sites to our index each time we crawl the web, and we invite you to submit your URL here.
We do not add all submitted URLs to our index, and we cannot make any predictions or guarantees about when or if they will appear.
