My approach to treating patients
Dr. Grossman completed his orthopaedic surgery training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After completing his residency, Dr. Grossman performed a fellowship in Adult Hip & Knee Replacement at the Rothman Institute under the direction of Richard H. Rothman, MD PhD and Bill Hozack MD focusing on the surgical management of arthritis. The Rothman Institute is an internationally recognized orthopaedic center focused on clinical excellence and cutting edge research. In his fellowship Dr. Grossman received speicalized training in hip and knee replacement including anterior approach total hip replacement, lateral approach total hip replacement, hip resurfacing, computer-assisted total knee replacement, complex revision total hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement,and patellofemoral knee replacement.
Dr. Grossman's approach:
I approach each patient as an individual partnership honoring the traditional "doctor-patient" relationship that is too often forgotten today. Together we will work to better define the diagnostic problem at hand and help you achieve your desired activity goal through diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.
My specialty within orthopaedic surgery focuses on adult hip & knee reconstruction. There have been tremendous developments within this field allowing for a wide breadth of treatments for all age ranges.
I perform primary (first time) hip and knee reconstruction as well as the more complex revision reconstructions. I employ some of the more modern modalities for accomplishing this including anterior approach total hip arthroplasty, computer assisted total knee arthroplasty, as well as hip resurfacing.
