My approach to treating patients
MSKIC was founded to combine teleradiology with emerging technologies and superior service. This was not always the case in our industry -- but with such technologies as Virtual Viewbox web conferencing, virtually instantaneous STAT reporting and world-class expertise, supported by highly personalized attention, MSKIC now offers a teleradiology experience unlike any other. I'm Dr. Douglas Smith, owner and principal of MSKIC. Having received training in orthopedics at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and radiology at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, I possess a deep understanding of the needs of practicing orthopedic and spine surgeons. When I founded MSKIC, I did so with a vision for emphasizing clinical perspectives and providing immediate online access to accurate, detailed reports that benefit both providers and patients. I’m delighted to be on the cutting edge of such amazing technology, and grateful for a professional team that can use these advancements to improve quality of life for all patients.
To achieve these goals, MSKIC assigns your own primary radiologist who knows your practice and your physicians and will customize service to your practice specifics. Whenever you or your physicians have questions, you will interactively view your Orthopedic MRI or Spine MRI with your radiologist within minutes, using our innovative teleconferencing software. It is a truly unique experience of which I am very proud.
Please visit MSKIC online to learn more about our expertise in the areas of:
