My approach to treating patients

I began practicing orthopaedic surgery after receiving my medical degree from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. My internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at New York Presbyterian/Columbia Medical Center prepared me for two fellowships: one in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery and the other in Sports Medicine/Shoulder Surgery. I am currently Board Certified in both Orthopaedic Surgery and Hand Surgery. I currently practice with a special interest in hand, elbow and shoulder surgery, sports medicine, arthroscopy, and peripheral nerve surgery. I focus on treatment of both simple and complex upper extremity disorders including: carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytrens disease including needle aponeurotomy, thumb basilar arthritis, tennis elbow, arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs, tendon transfers, nerve surgery, post-traumatic hand reconstruction, rheumatoid arthritis. I have a special interest in sports medicine and minimally invasive surgery to facilitate an earlier return to activities. In my free time, I enjoy fly fishing, sailing, skiing, and mountain biking when I am not spending time with my wife and 2 children.
