My approach to treating patients

I want to provide the highest level of orthopaedic care possible in Southern Oregon and Northern California. I stay up-to-date on the latest research so that my patients get the best that is currently available in shoulder care and hip arthroscopy. I have also performed research and written about surgical outcomes and techniques. A book I co-authored, The Cowboy's Companion: A Trail Guide for the Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgeon, provides surgeons with step-by-step instruction for performing minimally invasive shoulder surgery. For a complete list of publications see the "About Patrick J. Denard" tab.

I care for all types of shoulder conditions including arthritis, rotator cuff tears, shoulder dislocations, failed rotator repairs (persistent pain or disability after a rotator cuff repair), and shoulder fractures (broken bones).

In addition, I have been trained in hip arthroscopy which may be used to treat problems such as hip impingement or labral tears of the hip.

Whether through nonoperative means or surgery, my goal is to help my patients achieve the highest function possible. If you have shoulder pain or hip pain we will work together to the best of our ability to make you better.
