My Approach to Treating Patients
Orthopaedic surgery is a problem focused specialty. I try to understand my patients' problems in the context of their overall health and well being. Everyone's time is important and I try to respect that by not attempting to see too many patients in one day. The trust that is required to allow someone to operate on your body is enormous. I remember this trust always and feel blessed to be able to help people with my knowledge and skills. I enjoy treating children and adults with fractures. I particularly enjoy arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder. I perform knee and hip replacement for severe arthritis. I am proud of my service at our local trauma center, Brackenridge hospital.

Other Staff in My Practice
I have three physician partners in my practice, Dr. J. Clark Race, Dr. Robert Blais and Dr. Greg Westmoreland. Mr. James Howard is our Physician Assistant. Ms. Janie Godina is our office manager. Mr. Ron Loucks and Ms. Debbie McQueeney are certified orthopaedic and radiologic technicians. Ms. Rita Burris and Ms. Rachel Sanchez work in our insurance claims department. Ms. Sandra Barrera and Ms. Stella Felan staff our front office and Ms. Sonia Roque manages our medical records. Adam Woods works on our contracts and credentialing and Anna Williams is our college student who helps with insurance authorization and verification.
