My approach to treating patients

Dr John Carrozzella is a 1978 graduate of Yale University where he was awarded a degree in Biochemistry, with honors. Subsequently, while in Medical School at the University of Cincinnati Dr Carrozzella achieved the distinction of being inducted into the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, in his Junior year, placing himself in the top five percent of his class. After graduation in 1982 he went on to an Orthopaedic Residency, also at the University of Cincinnati. Following residency, Dr Carrozzella again achieved distinction as he was selected to be the first Fellow in the Mary S. Stern Fellowship in Hand Surgery, which he ultimately completed in 1988. In 1991 Dr Carrozzella became board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery scoring in the top 1 percent of those taking the written exam at that time. Once his training was completed, Dr Carrozzella went into private practice, first in Indiana then in Pensacola Florida where in ten years of practice there he established a reputation as an outstanding and caring surgeon. In his desire to live in an even warmer climate, he moved to the Tampa area in January of 2000 where he now maintains offices in the Plant City area. Dr Carrozzella focuses his efforts in the general practice of Orthopaedic Surgery with emphasis on Joint Replacement and injury evaluation and treatment.
