My approach to treating patients
"I believe each of us is called to a specific vocation, profession and recreation. My professional calling as an orthopaedic spinal surgeon stems from an affinity for mechanical devices coupled with a love of artistic creation. Marry that with an understanding of the sciences, coupled with a passion for serving God through helping others, and the result is manifest in the skill and compassion of this surgeon.
"As a surgeon, I want to treat others as I would be treated myself; this includes a philosophy of allowing the human body as much leeway as possible to heal itself. The first step to accomplish this is to provide the appropriate building blocks of nutrition, education and exercise. Should nonoperative management fail, more invasive intervention may be needed in order to allow maximum self-regeneration. By following this algorithm, patients achieve more control, more satisfaction and, more often, a better result."
