My approach to treating patients

I have limited my practice as an Orthopaedic Surgeon to treating and care of the Spine. I provide both Non-operative and Operative Care of the Back and the Neck, including Microscopic Surgery, and Minimally Invasive surgery when appropriate, as well as Reconstruction Surgery.

My interest in Orthopaedic Surgery, and in particular the care of the spine began while in training at Boston University Medical Center in Boston in 1975. Since then, for over three decades, I have been constantly trying to improve my knowledge and understanding of the spine, and better ways of treating the spine. I have been doing Microscopic Spine Surgery since 1984.

Through comprehensive evaluation, I try to get to know each patient well enough to understand their spine problem and how it affects their daily life, so that by my treatment I can significantly improve the quality of their life. It is my goal to help each of my patients return to an active, pain-free lifestyle

I try to provide total care of the back and the neck by integrating medications, patient exercises at home, formal physical therapy, work and lifestyle modifications, and surgery if necessary, into a comprehensive treatment program. I expect my patients to take an active role in working toward recovery while I offer them advice and assistance.

I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and member of North American Spine Society.

Thank you for visiting my website. I look forward to meeting you. Please feel free to contact the office (972-644-7115).
