I have completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction with an emphasis on revision surgery at Central Dupage Hospital and the Rush-Presbyterian-St.Lukes Medical center in Chicago with Drs. Paprosky, Rosenberg, and Galante. I have also completed a fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the University of Washington with Frederick Matsen and Douglas Harryman. Finally, I completed my shoulder experience by performing a three month fellowship with Dr. Iannotti at the University of Pennsylvania. I am trained in the evaluation and management of the entire gamut of shoulder, elbow and adult reconstruction (hip and knee) problems. My background includes post-graduate level research in biochemistry and molecular biology of the musculoskeletal system, experience in teaching, and research in both the basic science and clinical areas of medicine. More recently, I have become involved in patient self-assessment of disease and outcome analysis using a wide range of computer aided methodologies. My research has been acclaimed by local and national awards and I have obtained national and international grants. I am currently a Professor at McGill Univeristy (tenured) in the division of orthopaedic surgery and director of resident research. I am based out of the Jewish General Hospital and have cross appointments at the Montreal General hospital and at Lasalle Hospital. I am currently director of research at the Lady Davies Institute.
