Achievements
Dr. Marcus has authored seven scientific papers. He was quoted in the New York Times when one of his papers was featured as part of a Halloween public safety campaign to reduce hand injuries caused by pumpkin carving. He has also written two book chapters on hand surgery and lectured to other doctors about orthopaedic and hand surgery. Prior to returning to New Jersey, he worked with athletes at the ski slope, on the football field and in minor league baseball.
Dr. Alexander Marcus is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and an Active Member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
