About the Providers in Our Practice

CAROL S. FISHER, MD Dr. Fisher is originally from Carbondale, CO. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Montana Missoula. She obtained her graduate degree from the University of Massachussetts. She attended medical school at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. Her residency was done at the University of British Columbia Department of Orthopedics from 1986-1990. Dr. Fisher also has a fellowship in Adult Reconstructive and Shoulder Surgery in Minneapolis, MN in 1991. She started with Adirondack Orthopedic Physicians & Surgeons in 1991. She is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. When she is not working, she enjoys activities such as paddling and hiking.

DOUGLAS M. PETROSKI, MD Dr. Petroski is originally from the Albany area. He attended Union College and received a BS in Biological Sciences in 1972. He attended Medical School at Albany Medical College and graduated in 1976. He was an Assistant Resident in Surgey at AMC from 1976-1977, and then became Assistant Resident in Orthopedic Surgery at AMC from 1977-1979. In 1979 he was the Assistant resident in Orthopedic Surgery at Sunnyview Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Schnectady, NY where he experienced Children's Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Medicine. Also in 1979, he was the Assistant Resident in Orthopedic Surgery at Berkshire Medical Center. He became Chief Resident in Orthopedic Surgery at AMC from 1979-1980. Additional clinical experience during residency includes knee and sports medicine at AMC, Capital District Cerebral Palsy Center Clinics, Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon for the U.S Government Dept. of the Navy, Athletic Physician at Union College, and also an Associate Attending Physician at Ellis Hospital. Dr. Petroski has been with Adirondack Orthopedic Physicians & Surgeons since 1981. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife on beautiful Glen Lake where he resides.

ROBERT G. SELLIG, MD Dr. Sellig is originally from Webster, MA. He attended Harvard University and recieved his B.A. in 1962. He attended University of Vermont College of Medicine where he received his M.D. in 1966. He did an internship at Mary Fletcher Hospital in Burlington, VT. Dr. Sellig's residency was done at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in General Surgery. His residency in Orthopedic Surgery was done at the University of Pittsburgh. He was Active Staff Orthopedic Surgeon at Glens Falls Hospital from 1974-1999 and is now Honarary Staff at Glens Falls Hospital. He was also an Orthopedic Consultant for Cerebral Palsy Association of the Tri-Counties from 1975-1999. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a memeber of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and playing the piano.

NOREEN M. GILLINGHAM, RSA-O Noreen is originally from Corinth, NY. She graduated from the Glens Falls Hospital School of Practical Nursing in 1971. She then graduated from Albany Medical Center School of Radiological Technology in 1980. Noreen has taken science and other elective courses for her nursing degree at ACC. She became a Registered Specialist Assistant in Orthopedics in 2004. She worked as an LPN from 1978-1986 in ICU, Orthopedics, Surgery, and Coronary care. In 1980, Noreen worked for Joseph Quellman, MD and Richard Saunders, MD from 1993-1996 as an office nurse, X-ray tech, and private scrub nurse. She was a scrub nurse at Glens Falls Hospital as well. Noreen is now a Registered Specialist Assistant in Orthopedics with Adirondack Orthopedics. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and cooking.

SARA E. SCOTT, RPA-C Sara is originally from the Albany area. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from SUNY Oneonta in 2004. She received her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Le Moyne College in 2008. Sara became interested in the medical field after her time as an EMT-D with Western Turnpike Rescue Squad in Guilderland, NY and the Oneonta State Emergency Squad in 2002. In her spare time, Sara enjoys spending time with her family and cooking.
