My Approach to Treating Patients
Welcome to the web site of Dr. Mark M. Williams. I created this web site to familiarize you with my orthopaedic practice, dedicated staff, and the services we provide.

Whether you're making the decision for orthopaedic care, or would just like to expand your knowledge, I hope this site helps you become informed and more confident about the incredible realm of orthopaedic treatments available.

As an experienced physician with more than 18 years of specialization in orthopaedics, I take a highly personal approach to caring for my patients. I believe the most important aspects of providing quality care are listening to the needs of patients, presenting treatment options to the patient and assisting patients obtain the best possible treatment, including advanced surgical techniques, such as minimally invasive surgery known as arthroscopy, when necessary.

My practice specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder and knee disorders, and arthroscopic treatment of these and other problems including carpal tunnel syndrome. My practice is unique in that we provide a "super-specialized" level of care for these types of problems. When noninvasive treatment fails, I offer state of the art solutions, such as joint fluid therapy and/or arthroscopic surgery. I have a special interest in minimally invasive arthroscopic solutions to common problems. I have been performing all arthroscopic repairs of dislocating shoulders and for tears of the rotator cuff since my one year fellowship in 1992 with shoulder arthroscopy pioneer and innovator, Dr. Steve Snyder (http://www.scoi.com/doctors/sjs.htm).

When you come to see me as your orthopaedic surgeon, surgery is not your only option. Sometimes through rehabilitation and available prescriptions, your injury may be healed in a nonoperative manner. If you do require surgery, I'll keep you informed of why surgery is recommended, what will be done in the surgery, and what to expect as an eventual outcome after surgery.

I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you, and to helping you achieve your best possible musculoskeletal health.
