ANDREW W. AYERS, MD

Dr. Ayers graduated from Colby College in 1989 where he captained the football and lacrosse teams.  He then taught and coached at the Delbarton School in Morristown, NJ before going on to medical school at Georgetown University.  He completed his orthopaedic residency at Georgetown University serving as Chief Resident in 2003.

 

Dr. Ayers practices general orthopaedics with a specialty interest in Sports Medicine, knee and shoulder surgery.   He completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Hughtston Clinic in Columbus, GA in 2004.

 

He is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, an associate member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and a member of the Hughtston Sports Medicine Society.

 

In his spare time, he enjoys golf, mountain biking, and the outdoors.

 

 

CHARLES G. BRENNAN, MD

Dr. Brennan graduated with honors from Holy Cross College and the University of Vermont Medical School.  He was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha – the National Medical School Honor Society.  His Orthopaedic Surgery training took place at the Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC and at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.  He was in the United States Military for two years and received the Bronze Star Medal in the Republic of Vietnam.

           

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the New England Orthopaedic Association and the Massachusetts Orthopaedic Association.

 

In addition to his extensive orthopaedic surgery practice, he is an avid golfer and pianist.

 

 

MURRAY J. GOODMAN, MD, FACS

Dr. Goodman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1972, and trained in General Surgery at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.  He completed the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program serving as Chief Resident at the Brigham in 1979.

 

Dr. Goodman practices general orthopaedics and has a specialty interest in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery.  He completed a Fellowship in Hand Surgery with Dr. Harold Kleinert at the University of Louisville in 1980.

 

He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.  He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Massachusetts Medical Society.  Dr.Goodman is Past President of the Massachusetts Orthopaedic Association and currently serves on its Board of Directors.  He has served on various committees and is currently a member of the Board of Councilors of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

 

In his spare time, Dr. Goodman enjoys cycling and travel.

 

 

RALPH C. SWEETLAND, MD

Dr. Sweetland was selected as one of Boston’s best Orthopaedic Surgeons in Boston Magazine in 1998.  He has extensive experience with joint replacements, shoulder surgery and foot & ankle surgery.

 

He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery training in 1973 at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency after his General Surgery training in Rochester, NY.  He attended Harvard College and Harvard Medical School.

 

Dr. Sweetland is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.


He enjoys traveling and participating in many outdoor activities including cycling, heli-skiing, and windsurfing.
