Achievements

Robert M. Szabo, M.D., M.P.H. is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Chief of the Hand and Upper Extremity Service at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. His current areas of research interest include nerve compression lesions, nerve repair and regeneration biology, wrist injuries, and the epidemiology of repetitive trauma and injury prevention. He has received the Nicolas Andry Award, funded by the Association of Bone & Joint Surgeons, May 15, 1989. He was an Invited Fellow, Kashiwagi-Sumihara Japan-U.S. Orthopaedic Exchange Traveling Fellowship, The Japan Orthopaedics and Traumatology Foundation Inc. Japan in 1992 and he received the Sterling Bunnell Traveling Fellowship in Hand Surgery from the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, 1993-1994. Dr. Szabo is an Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society life member.
