My approach to treating patients

Welcome to my website:

I am Board Certified and take pride in providing my patients with the most updated techniques in Orthopedic Surgery. My fellowship training in Sports Medicine at Washington University in St Louis, MO gave me the opportunity to work with profession sports teams (Rams, Blues and Cardinals). I understand the need for return to sports and activities in the most safe and expedient fashion with or without surgical intervention. My training in Arthroscopy and Minimally Invasive Surgery helps my patients recover faster with less pain. I perform arthroscopic surgeries to most joints: Shoulder Arthroscopy, Knee Arthroscopy, Ankle Arthroscopy, Hip Arthroscopy, Elbow Arthroscopy and Wrist Arthroscopy. I perform many different surgeries, which traditionally were done with large open incisions, through incisions the size of poke holes. Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff repair and Hip Arthroscopy are good examples of a surgeries I perform with minimal incision and less pain. I have a special interest in treating hip pain and have the most advanced training in Hip Arthroscopy and Surface Replacement. Total Joint Replacement of the knee and hip are also a surgery I do with the use of computer assisted surgery. Personalized implants for partial knee replacemenet by Conformis is also a service I provide to my patients with out patient surgery. I also have a special interest in providing Sports Medicine specialty care to children and teens involved in sports.

Non-operative approaches including joint injections for pain relief and self improvement through life style changes are an important part of my practice.

I believe the most important aspects of providing quality care are listening to the needs of patients; thorough testing; communication; patient education; prevention of injuries; presenting treatment options to the patient; establishing a relationship with my patients/involving patients in treatment plan.

My hobbies include surfing, running, horse racing and weightlifting.
