My approach to treating patients

I created this web site to introduce you to my orthopaedic practice, my dedicated staff, and the services we provide. Whether you're making the decision for orthopaedic care, or would just like to expand your knowledge, I hope this site helps you become more informed and confident about the incredible realm of orthopaedic treatments available.

I work to develop a partnership with my patients. On my part, this begins with listening. One of the most important things I need to know is how the physical problem affects this patient's life.

I believe that knowledgeable patients make the best decisions about their own treatment. That's why I explain every step of the diagnostic process. Next, I want my patients to understand their condition: How it developed and how various treatment approaches can improve or repair the problem. When we consider treatment alternatives, I present a realistic outlook on the results we can achieve. I'll also be frank about any risks that might be involved. Many times non-surgical options are available, and I'll explain these alternatives in depth.

Please feel free to contact us anytime at 815 344 6026 with any questions, comments or concerns. We'd love to hear from you!

Other staff in my practice

My office staff is small but uniquely talented and dedicated. My secretary and administrative assistant, Karen Weideman has been with me more than 20 years. I am pleased to welcome Erika Armstrong, PA-C to my practice. She comes to us with numerous years of othopaedic experience.

They both excel at their many roles, and bring experience and compassion to our practice. Karen is especially talented at insurance issues, and both are excellent at helping with patient care related questions. Erika can exercise autonomy in medical-decision making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.
