My approach to treating patients
I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Science degree in bioengineering as well as a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering, and I went on to earn a medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in 1993. My five-year residency in orthopaedic surgery was at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 1998 followed in 1999 by a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the Indiana Hand Center, Indianapolis. In September 1999, I joined Hand Care Associates, a division of OAD Orthopaedics and serve patients at both Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL and Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. My special orthopaedic interests in the hand/upper extremity areas include traumatic reconstruction of the elbow, wrist, and hand, as well as peripheral nerve injury, sports injuries, and congenital hand deformities. I am board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, in addition to being certified by the ABOS in having Added Qualifications in the Surgery of the Hand.
