My approach to treating patients

I founded Orthopedic Consultants Medical Group in 1961 based on the ideology of orthopedic excellence. As new partners have joined the group, the standard has been maintained despite the difficulties of a changing medical atmosphere and especially managed care.

I have been a team doctor/orthopedist at CSUN since 1961 and specialize in Sports Medicine. Arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder, in addition to knee joint replacement make up the majority of my practice.

I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. I was formerly Co-Chief of the USC and subsequently the UCLA orthopedic teaching service at Sepulveda Veterans Administration Hospital, and former Chief of Orthopedics at Olive View Hospital. I am presently Director of Orthopedics at Encino and Tarzana Hospitals.

I have been involved in the training of orthopedic residents, first with USC and later at UCLA for more than 3 decades. I have been involved with Cal State University, Northridge for the same length of time in taking care of athletes and students at the Student Health Center. I am a professor in the Department of Kinesiology teaching a course in Sports Medicine. I have authored a number of papers and have been Chairperson of many orthopedics and sports medicine meetings.
