My approach to treating patients

I feel uniquely blessed to have the opportunity to practice orthopaedic surgery. This field has the potential to alleviate patients' pain in a significant way and improve their lifestyles. I also have the opportunity to intervene when people are in severe distress from injury and get them back into the activities of daily life, hopefully with minimal disability. I feel that each patient's problems are individual and it is difficult to categorize each patient into a certain time period or office visit. Therefore, I like to personally get to know each of my patients in a substantive way, to deal with their problems specifically and to give them the time that it takes to make good decisions regarding their treatment choices and expectation for their outcomes.
