My Approach to Treating Patients
I focus my practice on the comprehensive treatment of patients with spinal disorders. I specialize in reconstructive cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine surgery, including the most advanced techniques of minimally invasive and microsurgical spinal procedures. I also have extensive experience with complex spine trauma and spinal deformity, and intervertebral disc replacement.
I am a native of Southern California and a graduate of Agoura Hills High School. I graduated with Highest Honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology and Genetic Engineering. I earned my medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine where I was elected to the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha, and graduated first in my class as the valedictorian and the Dr. Michael E. DeBakey Scholar.
I completed my residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the UCLA Medical Center and affiliated hospitals, including the West Los Angeles Veterans Hospital, Orthopaedic Hospital, and the Shriners' Hospital for Children in Los Angeles. I completed a comprehensive fellowship in Spinal Surgery at the William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan. I have authored many peer reviewed scientific articles and textbook chapters in the field of spinal surgery.
I am available to see patients at the Encino and Agoura Hills offices.
