My approach to treating patients

Dr. Shen is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has also completed fellowship training in Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Spine Surgery at University of California San Francisco Medical Center. He is a medical graduate from Cornell University Medical College in New York City, and he finished orthopaedic surgery residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Dr. Shen is well versed in a full-spectrum of minimally invasive operative treatment of all spine conditions of patients of all ages, including back pain, neck pain, scoliosis, disc herniation, sciatica, spine trauma/fractures, infection, and failed spine syndrome.

Dr. Shen is one of few spine surgeons in the world well experienced in doing the following surgeries: lumar and thoracic endoscopic surgeries for disc herniations, microendoscopic cervical decompression for spinal cord compression, microendoscopic laminotomy and foraminotomy for multi-level lumbar spinal stenosis, transpedicular thoracic discectomy, anterior cervical transcorporal microdiscectomy, MIS spinal fusion with robotic spine surgery.

Dr. She has performed over 4000 minimally invasive spine surgeries, including over 1000 endoscopic cases, with the most superior results and best safety, with no nerve injury or any post-operative infection.
