Achievements
Chris Oliver has featured in the media; Internet, radio and television in relation to orthopaedic and obesity issues. Chris Oliver has written extensively on the surgical Internet especially in relation to quality of information, coping with information overload, efficacy of Internet search engines, picture archiving and communication systems and ways of marketing the surgical Internet. In recent years he has had an interest in assessment examination methods in surgery.
Community activities
I had a previous life as a expedition whitewater canoeist and paddled on rivers in Europe, Yukon, Alaska, India, Turkey and Bhutan. In September 2011 I whitewater kayaked paddled the Grand Canyon, Colorado River, USA. I enjoy cycling (Land's End to John O'Groats 2009), spinning, diving, sailing, skiing and computing.
