My approach to treating patients
I am a Board Certified orthopaedic surgeon dedicated to providing exceptional orthopaedic care for the past five years. I have also received a Certificate of Additional Qualification in Sports Medicine from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
After completing my orthopedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Georgia, I joined the United States Air Force. As an active duty Major, I served as an orthopedic surgeon at MacDill AFB, Fl. While at MacDill, I was the Chief of Orthopedics, in charge of providing orthopedic care to the brave men and women of the 6th Air Mobility Wing, SOCOM, and CENTCOM. With my extensive experience in treating war-related and sports injuries in our military men and women, and with more than nine years of surgical experience in the Operating Room, you can be assured my clinical credentials are excellent.
In addition, I've completed a visitng fellowship in Advanced Sports Medicine and Cartilage Repair at the Atlanta Sports Medicine Center to complement my broad experience in general orthopaedics.
I believe that knowledgeable patients make the best decisions about their own treatment. That's why I explain every step of the diagnostic process. Next, I want my patients to understand their condition: How it developed and how various treatment approaches can improve or repair the problem. When we consider treatment alternatives, I present a realistic outlook on the results we can achieve. I'll also be frank about any risks that might be involved. If a non-surgical option is available, I'll explain that avenue in depth.
