My approach to treating patients

Orthopaedic surgery has come a long way. As little as twenty years ago, an injury could result in multiple surgeries and a limited capacity to ever return to a fully functional state. With new technology, many injuries can be treated without surgery, or in some cases, just a single procedure. Many of these procedures are now done as an outpatient, requiring no down-time in the hospital. Advances in physical therapy have allowed many injured individuals to return to work stronger than before their injury.

At Orthopedic & Sports Specialists of Louisville, P.S.C., we utilize these new technologies to provide early diagnosis, prompt treatment, and quick and easy recovery. This allows many of our patients to miss a minimum of work. In many cases, arthroscopic outpatient surgeries replace old open surgeries of which many people are familiar, with their associated increase in pain, hospitalization, and length of recovery. In today's economic environment, we understand the financial burden being off work creates.

We work with a number of physical therapy centers all around Kentuckiana, making therapy visits easier to attend. We work closely with workman's compensation case managers and employers to make the transition back to work safe and productive. We take pride in our reputation, we stay on top of the latest technologies, and we work cooperatively with our patients to produce the most reliable and successful outcomes.
